About this role

Our Global Structure

Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.

We’re looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our London team. This is a hybrid role. In this role, you’ll help us strengthen our revenue accounting operations and controls while driving alignment with global financial processes.

Get to know our Finance team: what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee month-end close operations for revenue accounting, reviewing high-risk journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and strategic flux analyses to ensure U.S. GAAP compliance.
  • Lead the identification and resolution of complex data issues and systemic reconciliation gaps, establishing automated workflows to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Own end-to-end revenue accounting strategies, providing high-level technical guidance to finance leadership and delegating specialized analyses to junior staff.
  • Drive the annual external audit strategy for revenue, serving as the primary lead for key technical accounting schedules and management responses.
  • Build and lead cross-functional partnerships across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Product to streamline contract reviews, establish robust policies, and enforce compliance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the SOX control framework across all revenue operations, ensuring continuous monitoring and zero control deficiencies.
  • Advanced data analytics capability using SQL and visualization tools to evaluate complex revenue models, forecast trends, and drive strategic business insights.
  • Initiate and execute high-priority ad-hoc strategic projects, technology implementations, and process transformations across the finance function.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate data analysis, automate routine reconciliation tasks, and draft documentation – demonstrating fluency in AI-assisted workflows as part of the role’s operating standard

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential:

  • Experience with MS Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with NetSuite (or an equivalent ERP),
  • Professional accountancy qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Public company accounting experience within a relevant industry, alongside proven experience leading and developing others.
  • Strong technical knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SOX internal controls.
  • Proven track record of managing full-cycle financial close processes and maintaining robust accounting operations.
  • Proven ability to build alignment across teams and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to connect day-to-day revenue detail with longer-term commercial goals.
  • Comfort brings clarity to ambiguity and working independently in a rapidly changing environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Snowflake and using SQL for data querying and financial modelling
  • Active, proven usage of AI tools (LLMs and coding assistants) in day-to-day work; be prepared to discuss specific examples
